Linmore LED Labs, Inc. seeks Production and Quality Engineer in Fresno, CA.

Duties

  • Collaborate closely with Design Engineering to resolve design-related issues affecting fixture production, proposing modifications to work instructions, processes, materials, or product designs to ensure superior quality outcomes.
  • Conduct audits of Manufacturing Assembly Product Instructions (MAP) before production release, verifying compliance with established standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Orchestrate communication channels among management, Engineering Innovation Hub, and factory personnel, facilitating transparent discussions and swift resolution of quality and process-related matters.
  • Provide support to factory product and process engineering teams, conducting thorough assessments of diverse product issues encountered on production lines, particularly concerning products, and offering strategic insights for resolution.
  • Engage collaboratively with Product/Design engineering teams, actively participating in Engineering Change Orders (ECO) processes and the deployment of new models, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and quality standards.
  • Conduct review and validation of PCBA manufacturability and documentation files (.gbl, .gbs, .gtl, .gto), ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and internal protocols.
  • Support Design Engineering by identifying and escalating BOM-related issues impacting process flow and inventory accuracy, fostering proactive resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure product compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and rules, conducting thorough First Article Inspections (FAI) and validating special configurations to secure approval from Design Engineering.
  • Prepare reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data, providing valuable insights to inform decision-making processes and drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Actively participate in Kaizen and Lean projects aimed at cost reduction initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize materials management, inventory turns, and scrap reduction strategies.
  • Evaluate methodologies to optimize production efficiency, enhance integration processes, and verify operational effectiveness, proposing innovative solutions to enhance quality and yield.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments of warranty issues to determine root causes and define deployment strategies for containment and long-term solutions, mitigating risks and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Manage regulatory compliance efforts for UL, ETL, and other required certifications, ensuring adherence to regulatory mandates and industry standards for product compliance and market access.

Key Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Design, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent) and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, Product Engineering Coordinator, or related occupation.

Requires three (3) years of experience with each of the following:
1. Quality Management and Root Cause Analysis
2. Compliance with Lighting Standards and Certifications UL1598, ETL, CE
3. Design for Manufacturability (DFM) for PCBA
4. Wireless Lighting Control Systems
5. Manufacturing Process Optimization

40 hours/week, $88,400 – $98,000 per year. 

Must also have authority to work permanently in the U.S.
